ELH Challenge # 118

Creating Labeled Graphic Interactions for E-Learning (REVISED) - This week I submitted two but one was new using images as the markers. I followed a video created by Jerson from Visual-e Learning. Amazing how he figured this out and here are the steps I followed:

  1. Using actual markers, place the marker within the image/avatar range so that when selected, the marker appears within the selection area. The content of the marker box must be filled in now.

  2. Select the marker and on the Format tab, change Animate to "None".

  3. Select and copy the image and marker together as one.

  4. Now, click "only" the marker.

  5. Go the States for the marker and double click or select "Edit States".

  6. Paste the image/marker that you selected in step 3.

  7. Still selected, right click on the image/marker and select Format Picture.

  8. Set Transparency to 100%.

  9. Click "Done Editing States".

  10. Select only the marker and in the Format tab, change Marker Fill to "No Fill" and Marker Border to "No Outline".

That's it. If I can do it so can you!

For a more visual set of instructions, here is Jerson's video: https://youtu.be/JbU8oke_jmI

Thanks Jerson!

I just want to add what I did to revise this further. I wanted to dim the objects that are not selected. Michael Hinze (Hero) suggested the following:

  1. Combine all four images into one object.

  2. Create custom states that are called when any of the markers are clicked

  3. Create Triggers for each object marker to Change state of, Group of pics, to desired State, when User clicks that Marker

  4. I then increased the transparency for each of the unselected objects to 80%.

Thanks Michael!
