e-Learning for Beginners - PART 2: Benefits of E-Learning
E-Learning provides a quick and easy solution to learning without the hassle of travelling or pulling your employees away from their job. E-learning can occur anywhere. It is experienced individually or in a group (through discussion forums). Learners can work through the e-learning modules on their own time. A huge advantage is the cost saving to your organization.
E-learning courses require only a computer (sometimes an instructor is made available to provide online support). The thing is, the e-learning modules can be used over again for future learners and also be repeatedly used by the learner to enforce the learning.
The modules can be created in a matter of hours, from any location, so if changes occur within your organization, access can be made instantly. Tracking of completion, along with scores, can also be a benefit.
Let’s also consider how “green” e-learning is when cutting travel reduces carbon emissions, especially for organizations dedicated to reducing its carbon footprint.
Empowering the training staff to focus on developing the best learning experiences, rather than administering traditional classroom training, provides better results. Your organization will be thankful with training downtime reduced, productivity increases.
